Almaden School Closure Town Hall

  • Almaden Library, Community Room 6445 Camden Avenue San Jose, CA, 95120 United States (map)

The District 10 Leadership Coalition (D10 LC) and San José District 10 Councilmember George Casey are hosting a public information and listening session about community efforts to stop proposed school closures.

This meeting is not hosted or organized by SJUSD. Board Trustees are invited but not guaranteed to attend.

Background:

The San José Unified School District (SJUSD) Board of Education decided to start a process called “Schools of Tomorrow” that will evaluate closures of some elementary schools and attendance zone changes. This may potentially lead to the closure of either Simonds or Williams Elementary, but they are still determining how to proceed.

SJUSD is holding public hearings about the changes. Learn more and attend at www.sjusd.org/about/schools-of-tomorrow.
